Evangelos Marinakis has returned to full control of Nottingham Forest as planned after they failed to qualify for the Champions League.

Marinakis invested all of his shares in a blind trust in April. As Forest looked to secure a top-five finish, to avoid any potential conflict of interest with another club he owns, Olympiacos. Which has qualified for the Champions League.สมัคร UFABET

Forest will not play in the Champions League next season after finishing seventh. So there is no conflict of interest with Olympiacos.

Sky Sports reported at the time that Marinakis planned to take full control of Forest in the current situation. And documents filed with Companies House yesterday showed he did so on June 6.

Forest are currently scheduled to play in the UEFA Conference League play-offs after finishing seventh in the Premier League.

However, the club have written to UEFA arguing that. They should be promoted to the Europa League instead of Crystal Palace. With Forest alleging breaches of multiple ownership rules that led Marinakis to back out in the first place.

Either way, Forest will not be playing in the Champions League next season, meaning there is no conflict of interest.

The Greek billionaire was strongly criticised for storming on to the pitch to confront the manager. Nuno Espírito Santo, following Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Leicester. Which left Forest seventh in the table as they attempt to qualify for the Champions League.
